Text Box: Henry Ford famously said :”You can get a Model T in any color you want as long as it's black”. Today, however, in marketing any product or service, giving customers choices is a must because the real power the customer has is “to choose” among products and venders. How you address the issue of customer choice depends on the markets you serve, and all of the idiosyncrasies of the markets as defined by the culture, the language, and all the sociological issues involved.
Hence, we have redefined our strategy for 2006 by forming two regionally specialized, completely cross-functional teams: The Latin-America/Caribbean Team & Asia-Pacific/Mideast Team. Each team is engineered to give you, our customer, the entire range of support from product selection, quotations, and technical consultations, to on-time delivery and post delivery support. Both teams are comprised of water industry professionals with from 10 to 25 years of experience. Finally, the two teams compliment each other to serve customers with global reach, and are supported by the corporate administrative and financial personnel. The Indigo teams are ready to serve you in 2006.

Text Box: Why it is important to have a TEAM supporting your project?
Text Box: OK, here was the challenge for Indigo: Create a team to serve a multilingual, multicultural region spanning both hemispheres and both sides of the international dateline, a team that can interpret international specifications and match them with products which are competitive in price and quality, sort through conflicting customer requirements and local government regulations, while working in emerging markets where getting the “know-how” to do business locally is key. This was the challenge for the team once it was formed; but the bigger challenge was building the team that can do the job.
An international procurement company unable to bring to bear on each project’s procurement program the support of a focused cross-functional team will find it increasingly difficult to meet ongoing critical requirements of all their clients as projects expand in complexity and number. Understaffing, lack of experience, or lack of product expertise may lead to performance failures in critical areas:
-Delays in sourcing products of a quality the project budget permits, but are compliant with end-user specifications
- Delays in delivering the products through all the stages of procurement from sourcing, pricing, technical submission and approval, to purchasing, shipping, and close-out documentation
- Lack of timely technical support to win approvals, provide immediate in-house solutions to technical issues, and provide the technical documentation required
- Inability to provide the needed after sales service and technical consultations.
